The “Virtual Display Driver Control” window: a Command field with Send Command and Reconnect buttons, and a log reading “Connected to the Virtual Display Driver pipe.”

Overview

Python VDD Pipe Control was a small Python tool for talking to the Virtual Display Driver directly. It opened a simple window that connected to the driver's named pipe, \\.\pipe\MTTVirtualDisplayPipe, let you type a command and send it, and showed the driver's replies in a log.

It had a Reconnect button for when the pipe dropped and showed an alert when a connection failed or a command was invalid. It needed Python 3 with Tkinter and pywin32, and the source was published under the MIT licence in February 2025.
