aosu SolarCam D1 Classic: Two Cameras and One Small Base Station

Opening the C9C-2H kit before moving the cameras to a new house.

Article published November 4, 2026.

This aosu kit arrives while I am thinking about cameras for a new house. It has two solar-equipped cameras and one base station, so I start by opening everything and seeing how the pieces fit together.

I like the size of the hub

The base station is one of the first things I take out. Its shape looks clean enough to sit on a shelf without dominating the space.

Then I lift out the first camera and look over its antennas, integrated panel and mounting connection. I also handle the camera head in the unboxing; for normal movement, I would use the intended app controls rather than turning it by hand.

Lay out both mounts

The box has hardware for both cameras, along with mounting guides, cables and power for the base station. I pull out the second camera toward the end so you can see the complete kit on the table.

I point out how the mounting pieces connect, while leaving the actual installation for later.

First look, before the app test

aosu sent this system over. I discuss its advertised tracking, storage and app features, but I do not connect it to produce a live view or test nighttime recording in this video.

My later SolarCam D1 Max unboxing looks at another aosu layout with a separate panel. This one is the D1 Classic two-camera kit from January 2024.
