Fitnexa SomniPods 3: Earbuds Built Around the Pillow
Thin sleep earbuds, adjustable audio and an ANC battery tradeoff: the details I looked at in the Fitnexa SomniPods 3.
Article published November 3, 2026.
Most earbuds are designed around listening to music while you are up and moving. The Fitnexa SomniPods 3 start with a different problem: how do you keep listening when your ear is against a pillow?
In my September 20, 2026 video, I looked at the thin shape, the app and the battery tradeoff that matters if you want to leave them on through the night.
The shape is the point
The earbuds are listed at 9.9 mm thick. Instead of sticking far out of the ear, the design aims to sit close enough that a pillow does not press a bulky earbud into you. Different tips and wings give you options for adjusting the fit.
That is what makes them interesting to me. A long feature list is not much help if you cannot comfortably put your head down.
Your own audio, or a little background weather
I discussed using your own music app or choosing sounds in the companion app, including waterfalls and stormy nights. Its ten-band equalizer gives you another adjustment: lower the bass if it bothers you, or bring it up if that is the sound you prefer.
The listed features also include Bluetooth 5.4, LDAC and aptX Lossless support, plus an app feature that makes the earbuds sound so you can find them. Codec support is a feature to check against your own playback setup; the list alone is not a measurement of every phone and music service combination.
The battery numbers need a little context
Fitnexa's advertised figures in the video were up to 48 hours with the charging case and up to 6.5 hours with active noise cancellation enabled. The case figure includes recharging the earbuds. It is not a claim that they play continuously for 48 hours in your ears.
The 6.5-hour ANC figure is the more useful one if you are comparing it with a full eight-to-ten-hour night. That is why I called out the choice between using ANC and simply listening to your chosen audio. I also mentioned the listed 42 dB hybrid ANC rating; I did not present an independent noise-reduction measurement.
The household test
My wife had been using them every night by the time I recorded this video. When she takes a piece of tech away from me and keeps using it, that usually tells me more about its everyday appeal than another box of specifications.
That is an anecdote about our use, rather than a promise about anyone else's sleep. For this kind of earbud, fit, the sounds you prefer and the battery mode you choose are the things I would pay attention to. The video above covers the design and the features I looked at.
