Facecam Pro and Anker C200: More Frames, Then Much Less Light

Comparing the cameras in my recording room as I change the lighting.

Article published November 4, 2026.

More resolution is easy to show when I put three camera feeds onto the same canvas. The more interesting question is what happens to the picture once I move around—and once I start turning the lights off.

Start with the image sizes

I bring in the Facecam Pro, the Anker C200 and a 1080p webcam to show the relative feed sizes. Then I concentrate on the Elgato and Anker for the rest of the comparison.

I adjust settings to get them closer, including white balance. They still have different looks, so this is my practical recording-room comparison rather than a fully controlled sensor test.

Movement is part of the upgrade

I move my hands and switch between the feeds to show why I like the Facecam Pro’s 4K60 mode. I also think the C200 holds up well visually for the setup I had.

The video lets you judge those samples, without a frame-by-frame latency or dropped-frame measurement.

Now turn off the lights

I reduce the studio lighting and then turn off the TV in front of me. The Anker’s view becomes brighter than the room looks to me; the Facecam image feels closer to the darkness I am seeing.

Which look is more useful depends on the result I want. My later OBSBOT Tiny 2 and Facecam Pro session is another comparison with different camera controls.
