Gitryin Retractable Power Bank: The Battery Display I Almost Missed
Trying the built-in cable, folding plug and hidden-looking percentage display.
Article published November 3, 2026.
I nearly finish this unboxing before coming back for one more look at the battery display. When it is off, the surface looks like plain plastic. Press the button, and a percentage lights up through it.
That is the little detail that makes me stop on the Gitryin power bank. The other useful idea is keeping the wall plug and a retractable USB-C cable in the same unit.
A cable that stays with the charger
I pull out the built-in USB-C lead and try its retracting mechanism. There are also USB-C and USB-A ports on the front, so the attached lead is not the only connection on the hardware.
The folding wall plug gives it another role when an outlet is available. I like the idea of carrying the cable with the battery instead of remembering another loose accessory.
The display disappears into the surface
Pressing the button reveals a 77% reading on the unit I open. I had not realized that area was a screen until it lit up, so I return to it at the end of the video.
The listed 10,000 mAh capacity and 35 W charging are product specifications, not measurements I establish in this short session. I am checking the design and controls, rather than timing a charge or counting full phone recharges.
Different battery designs solve different packing problems
My EnergyQC power-bank unboxing looks at a separate unit with a much larger advertised capacity. Here, the appeal is having the retractable lead and wall plug together.
