Arzopa Z1RC: Getting a Picture from a Phone without Extra Power
Unpacking the thin monitor, opening its stand and trying a USB-C connection.
Article published November 4, 2026.
The thinness is what I keep reacting to as I unpack this Arzopa monitor. Then I find the built-in support, open it and connect a phone to see the screen working.
This is the Z1RC listing from the original description. The short session includes a working picture, rather than just a tour of an unpowered panel.
The stand folds out of the back
I go through the cables and printed information before turning to the monitor. At first I wonder how something this thin will stand up, then find the folding support.
I also read the resolution information after initially switching between 2K and 2.5K wording. The description lists 2560 × 1600; I do not independently measure the panel's color or brightness specifications.
The phone supplies the first picture
I connect the phone and get an image without a separate power source in that setup. I discuss adding USB-C power to allow more brightness and speaker output, but do not record power or luminance measurements.
This is an external display requiring a compatible signal source. When I call it standalone in the video, I am talking about the physical monitor format, not a self-contained computer.
A simple support compared with a larger stand system
My Domyfan N2 walkthrough explores a more elaborate detachable stand arrangement. This Arzopa session focuses on a much simpler folding support and the phone connection.
I would have liked an internal battery. That wish is separate from the working USB-C setup I demonstrate; there is no universal-device compatibility, color-accuracy or full-day battery result here.
