Oleap P200b Pro: Trying Music on an Open-Ear Work Headset
Unpacking the boom-mic headset and accessories, then pairing it for a first listen.
Article published November 3, 2026.
The Oleap P200b Pro looks like a work headset, so naturally the first thing I try after pairing it is music. It is louder and bassier than I expected from something that leaves my ears open. I turn it down during the demo.
That listening test is the result I have here. Trying the microphone on actual calls is something I say I want to do afterward.
A flexible headset with a boom microphone
I look over the flexible frame, buttons and microphone, then unpack the pouch, storage band, charging cable and wireless dongle. There are windscreens for the microphone as well, including a spare.
I like finding those accessories together. The pouch has a snap-style opening, and the band keeps the headset gathered when I put it away.
Keeping the ear open
After pairing it, I put it on and try the sound. The open fit lets me keep some awareness of the room while listening, which is why I am interested in this shape for office work.
If you prefer separate open-ear pieces without the boom arrangement, my MemPod Fit 2 first look covers that different design. Neither short session is a controlled microphone or hearing-protection test.
The call test is still to come
The product information discusses call-noise reduction, charging and runtime. I do not measure those claims here or complete a comparison of call recordings.
I mention wanting to use the headset in my day job and on meeting services. For now, what I have actually done is pair it, listen to music and try the fit. The sound makes me more interested in finding out how that boom microphone performs.
