NEARITY MemPod Fit 2: Comfortable Fit, with a Few Controls I Wanted Closer
Pairing the open-ear pieces and listening before trying longer-term use.
Article published November 3, 2026.
The NEARITY MemPod Fit 2 is easy to get into a comfortable position on my ears. After pairing it, I spend a little time moving the pieces until they sit where I want them. That fit is one of the things I like about this first session.
The sound is clear to me, with some lower-end weight, but I would not call the bass overwhelming. My expectations for an open-ear design are different from what I expect when an earbud seals into my ear.
The case and the first connection
I open the case, look through the guides and charging cable, and take the individual pieces out. The case is fairly large, with a soft-feeling interior surface.
I find the headset on my phone, connect it and try music. This video shows that particular pairing and listening session; it does not test every device or a dual-device switching workflow.
I wanted more convenient controls
After listening, my main complaint is about access to the controls. I can handle basic playback, but I want easier access to some of the extra functions and settings from the headset itself.
I discuss noise-related features in the recording, but I do not measure noise suppression or isolate which feature changes the sound. This is not evidence of hearing protection or a controlled active-noise-canceling comparison.
Longer use needs a longer test
The listing's battery figure and the price mentioned in the original recording are not a timed rundown or a current quote. What stands out from my first try is the comfortable placement, clear sound and the controls I would like to reach more easily.
