MT-VIKI Dual Ethernet Adapter: A Small Box with Its Own Power Port
Looking at the network connections and manual before putting it into my desk setup.
Article published November 4, 2026.
I already have a long Ethernet cable coming into the room, so a little box that adds connections is interesting to me. This MT-VIKI unit is presented as one network connection in and two out.
There is a power connection as well
I open the package and use the manual to look at the labeled gigabit specification. On the body, I point out the USB-C power port and the Ethernet sockets on either side.
I also notice the indicator areas beside the network connections. They are a useful physical detail, but I do not power it and verify live traffic in this recording.
The network test comes later
I have not measured throughput, latency or two-device behavior here. The label does not establish what bandwidth each device will receive in my actual network.
MT-VIKI sent the unit for this first look. In a later session, I opened the TP-Link LS1008G eight-port switch for another port-expansion idea. These are separate unboxings, without a performance comparison.
