XbotGo Chameleon: The Lime-Green Phone Mount with Bigger Filming Plans

Fitting my phone, opening the remote and looking through the tracking features.

Article published November 4, 2026.

You are probably not going to lose this one in a crowd. The new XbotGo Chameleon on my desk is lime green, which is quite a change from the darker unit behind me.

I have used XbotGo gear before, so I am interested in how this fits into the rest of that filming setup. XbotGo sent this unit over, and I start with the things I can handle right away.

My phone fits without taking off the case

I open the phone holder, put my phone in with its case still on and tighten the mount. There is a tripod connection underneath and a rotating base. The included remote has a battery tab to remove, and I look over its controls before powering the Chameleon on.

The lights on the sides come on, and I point out the charging connection at the back. Those little details are easy to overlook when the headline is all about AI tracking.

The phone and tracking system work together

This is a phone-based filming setup with a tracking co-processor, not simply a standalone replacement for the phone. I discuss player and ball tracking, jersey-number selection and follow-me mode, then pull up the website to look through its examples and score-overlay features.

Those are the capabilities I am explaining, rather than results from a game I filmed in this session. I do not demonstrate a live match, verify jersey recognition or measure recording resolution, streaming performance or battery endurance here.

Ready for a different kind of recording session

Sports are the obvious use, but I also talk about setting it on a table at a convention and moving around while presenting. That is an idea I want to try. For this first look, the concrete starting point is the phone fit, mounting hardware and controls. The original product link and separate clothing offer are below.
