BOYA Magic: Two Tiny Mics Inside a Handheld Body

Trying the clips, stand and receiver arrangements, then switching the recording to BOYA.

Article published November 4, 2026.

The BOYA Magic looks like a handheld microphone until I open its storage area and pull out the two small mics. That is the clever part of the format: the pieces can come out for a clip-on setup and go back into the larger body.

I go through the accessories and then switch the recording to the BOYA so the video includes an actual audio sample.

The small microphones can leave the body

I take out the two units, show their clips and magnetic attachment pieces, then put them back into the handheld arrangement. I also look at the windscreens for the small mics and larger body.

The included stand gives me another physical position to try. Those changes are what I mean by different form factors; they are not a claim that a small microphone becomes a different acoustic design simply by moving it.

The receiver is a separate piece

I identify the phone-receiver pieces and distinguish their storage position from the charging connection. The kit also has cables and a shoe-sized clip arrangement intended for a camera setup.

I demonstrate the hardware layout, but do not verify every phone or camera combination, wind condition or advertised wireless range.

The recording changes to the new mic

I switch from the mic I had been using to the BOYA Magic, first without noise reduction and then with it enabled. I also try the handheld arrangement, pointing it away and back toward me while talking.

I ask viewers how it sounds because I cannot monitor that recording as I make it. The sample is in the embedded video; I am not adding an unheard sound-quality verdict or a laboratory noise measurement.

My SVBONY D4 walkthrough has a separate wireless-mic switch-over sample. It is another session to hear, not a controlled comparison.

The original video is sponsored by PrunePro, whose separate shears link is below. The six-hour and charging-case battery claims for the microphone are not endurance tests completed in this recording.
