Linux Virtual Display Driver creates virtual displays on X11 at any resolution and refresh rate, for VR, OBS, Sunshine and desktop sharing. It runs entirely in userspace through xrandr: AMD and Intel work out of the box, NVIDIA needs a one-time setup.

Picture-in-picture for your whole desktop. Put any screen, app or region in borderless floating windows that stay above everything. Version 26.8.30 is a Linux preview, with AppImage and Debian packages for x64 and ARM64.
In development
Bourbon OS is PyroSoft's lean ARM64 gaming OS. It signs itself in and opens native ARM64 Steam in Game Mode, with FEX for x86 game code and Proton for Windows games. It's built on Fedora 44 for Apple Silicon VMs and is coming to Bourbon 26, where today it's an experiment that's off by default. There's no download and no date yet.
