Why I Stopped Recommending My Logitech Pro X

The cracks on my wired headset and my disappointment with the wireless microphone.

Article published November 4, 2026.

I really liked my wired Logitech Pro X. The microphone was a big part of that, which is why the damage on the headset was so frustrating—and why buying the wireless version did not solve the problem I actually cared about.

The plastic on mine cracked

I bring the headset close to the camera so you can see the cracks and broken pieces on both sides. I also explain a repair attempt I regret: I tried glue when one side first cracked, and the later break became harder to deal with.

In my February 2024 account of contacting support, I say I could not get the parts or a paid repair I was asking for. That describes my experience with this headset at the time, rather than a statement about every current product or support case.

The wireless microphone was the disappointment

I bought the wireless Pro X as an upgrade. It uses its USB receiver, rather than the Bluetooth connection I might use for an ordinary phone headset.

What bothers me is the microphone sound. In my use, I prefer the wired model, even after trying another compatible microphone on the wireless headset. This video is my listening judgment, without a controlled radio or audio-codec analysis.

I want repair to be an option

I still like things about the wired headset. The combination of its damaged plastic, my unsuccessful support request and the wireless microphone experience is what changes my recommendation.

If I share the products I enjoy, I should share the frustrating experiences too. This is that record for the two versions I owned, not a claim that I have tested every later revision.
