Lerat K40: A Small Heater with a Simple Control Switch
Looking over the heater’s size, controls and underside switch before a powered test.
Article published November 4, 2026.
Winter was approaching when this little Lerat box arrived. I opened it to find the K40 desktop heater, which is smaller than the space heaters I had been talking about using.
Three positions on the control
I take out the manual, unwrap the heater and look over the body. The control has low, high and off positions. Underneath, I point out a switch and explain its intended tip-over function.
That is a look at the mechanism, not a powered test of whether it shuts the heater off. I do not measure output temperature, room heating or electrical performance in this session.
The label is not a circuit test
I read the 500-watt rating and talk about why a smaller heater interests me for my room. My earlier problems with other heaters do not establish that this one would solve a circuit issue or be suitable for someone else’s installation.
The practical first look here is the compact size, the switch layout and the supplied instructions. A proper heating test is still separate from that unboxing.
A seasonal idea, with more to try
I can see why a small heater might appeal for a limited space, but this video does not establish a safe placement, a room-size rating or long-term performance. I would work from the actual product instructions before setting it up.
