Afyuol Wall Sconces: Snap the Light onto a Ball Mount
Trying the light temperatures, remote and adjustable magnetic attachment.
Article published November 4, 2026.
I want to light the artwork and objects behind me without turning the whole room into a cable run. These Afyuol sconces have a simple idea that fits that goal: the light comes off its magnetic mount for charging.
Two lights, with matching accessories
I look through the mounting pieces and find two cables and two remotes along with the pair of lights. I also work through how the bracket pieces fit before trying the magnetic attachment.
Tap for a different temperature
The lights turn on, and tapping the control cycles between warmer and cooler settings. I attach one to the ball-style mount and point it in different directions.
I also try the remote’s temperature and brightness controls. The timer options are there to discuss, but I do not wait through a timed run or measure battery endurance in this recording.
The mount stays, the light moves
The useful physical detail is being able to remove the light, connect its USB-C cable and put it back. I demonstrate the pieces at the desk, without completing a wall or ceiling installation.
Afyuol sent these over. A later Afyuol picture-light first look has a longer bar and a different bracket, so it is another format rather than the same light tested again.
