llano Glass Mousepad: Definitely Not Something You Roll Up
Unpacking the rigid pad, cleaning cloth and rubber-backed surface.
Article published November 3, 2026.
The box makes sense as soon as I remember what is inside: this is a glass mousepad. Rolling it up like a cloth pad is not an option.
llano sent it over after I had been curious about the design. This session is the unboxing and first handling, before the longer mouse-use test I discuss at the end.
Plenty of packaging around the glass
I work through the protective packaging and thick foam, then take out the included cleaning cloth. Even on a new pad, using the cloth lifts some material from the surface.
That is a cleaning observation. It does not show that the cloth repairs scratches or that the glass cannot be damaged.
A large, rigid surface on the desk
I lift out the pad and look at its size, finish and rubber padding underneath. The rigid format feels very different from the flexible mousepads I am used to handling.
I discuss the feel and the idea of using suitable mouse feet, but I do not demonstrate a controlled glide comparison or an FPS aiming test in this recording.
The real mouse test comes next
My plan in the video is to use it over the following week and report back. That future use is separate from what this first look establishes: packaging, supplied cloth, surface and backing.
