The Adjustable Power Supply I Found While Replacing a Steam Link Cable

Looking over the tip selection and trying the fit for my missing adapter.

Article published November 4, 2026.

I want to make another Steam remote-play video, but first I have a much less exciting problem: I cannot find the power cable for my Steam Link.

One supply, several tips

While looking for a replacement, I come across an adjustable supply with a collection of connector tips. I show those pieces and the voltage selector on the body.

The selection is what gets my attention. It looks like a useful thing to keep with the other cables I am constantly trying to find.

The selector has a small key

I demonstrate the keyed selector and its marked positions, then try the tip that fits my Steam Link. I report that the device worked with that setup.

This is my particular replacement-cable experience. I do not measure the supply’s output, ripple or current capability, or verify compatibility with every device that happens to accept one of the tips.

Fit is only one part of compatibility

A connector fitting into a socket does not establish electrical compatibility. The recording does not check every combination of voltage, polarity and load, so it should not be taken as approval to power arbitrary devices or modify their wiring.

The price in the original title is what I saw in February 2023, rather than a current offer. The original link is below if you want to identify the adapter I was talking about.

The original description also includes http://eme7.com/ and http://exfil.gg/. Its product and channel-membership links are preserved below.
