Slimwalt Wallets: Trying the Fan-Out Latches and Fitting a Money Clip

Comparing two compact metal designs and assembling the supplied clip.

Article published November 4, 2026.

The card latch is the fun part of a Slimwalt wallet for me. Pull it, and the cards rise into view. I already use an older Slimwalt, so these two metal designs give me something familiar to compare in the hand.

Slimwalt provided the wallets for the video. This is a look at the mechanisms and accessories, rather than a long-term durability or security test.

The first wallet keeps things simple

I look over the metal body and clip, then operate the latch to bring the cards out. The compact format and quick access are the main things I react to.

I also show the place for bills. I do not establish a maximum card capacity or measure retention under a specific load.

The second wallet has a clip to attach

The other package includes a screwdriver, screws and a separate clip. I fit that clip using the supplied pieces, then look at the extra holding area and elastic band.

I try the card mechanism again. The different arrangement is easier to appreciate with both wallets on the table than by treating their product names as a complete comparison.

A handy way to present a business card

I mention using my old wallet for business cards and wanting to move to the metal version. That is one everyday use I already understand, rather than a new endurance result for these two units.

I describe RFID blocking in the recording, but do not run an RF test or establish protection against every kind of card-related risk. The actual demonstration is the card access, clip assembly and handling.

Geeksoutfit also supplied apparel for the original video. Its separate store offer is preserved below.
