Phenyx Pro PM-25: Opening the Wired Mic and Its Included Accessories

A first look at the microphone, cable, holder and carrying pouch.

Article published November 3, 2026.

A microphone unboxing is partly about the microphone and partly about what I will need to put it to work. The Phenyx Pro PM-25 arrives with a cable, holder and pouch, so there is a fair amount to go through before making a recording.

I have handled microphones before, including during my time in bands, and this one gives me a solid first impression in the hand. Sound quality still needs its own listening test.

What comes with the wired mic

I unpack the PM-25, the XLR cable, documentation and sticker. There is also a carrying pouch and a branded microphone holder.

I look over the holder's angle adjustment and the cable's matching dark details. The included pieces are useful to see together rather than assuming the microphone is the only item in the package.

The wireless transmitter is separate

I also show a separate Phenyx Pro transmitter attached to the microphone. It is not an included wireless feature of the PM-25 package.

Attaching that accessory is a hardware demonstration, not a recorded test of wireless sound or range. Check the requirements of the exact transmitter and audio equipment before choosing a setup.

The audio comparison is still ahead

I finish by discussing possible follow-up tests with other microphones. Those recordings are not completed in this session, so I am not treating the advertised vocal balance, noise performance or price in the title as a current measured conclusion.

For this first look, the result is a wired microphone unpacked, its accessories laid out and a clear distinction between the supplied kit and the separate wireless option.
