My Unreal Action Adventure Course: Walk Through the Game We Build
A September 2023 tour of the Blueprint project, from its opening cinematic to the bridge sequence.
Article published November 4, 2026.
I want to show you what we are actually building in the Action Adventure course, so this video is a walk through the finished teaching project. It is a small vertical slice with quite a few systems working together.
Start before the first jump
I open the settings menu and show the quality options, then start the level. An introductory cinematic leads into the player camera, with the lava material and nearby post-processing effects setting the scene.
The interface tracks health, coins and treasure as I move into the level.
Give the player a reason to look around
I push a cube into place to reach a higher area and throw a rock to distract an enemy that investigates sounds. A torch clears a web, and a save point gives me somewhere to return after a mistake.
Later, I pick up a weapon, break a barricade and use an explosive barrel. The point of the tour is showing those interactions as connected parts of a playable project.
Build up to the bridge
A boulder sequence leads toward the bridge, where destruction and a timed interaction feed into another cinematic. Near the end, I point out a MetaHuman I tried to make look like myself.
The course project shown in this September 2023 recording uses Blueprints. My spoken price and length estimates belong to that announcement, so use the current course listing for its present contents and terms.
The original course and membership links are below. Its URL carries MIKETHETECH, without a discount amount stated in the description, and the credits list http://eme7.com/ and http://discord.mikethetech.com/.
