Mueller UltraToast: Wide Slots and a Look over the Controls
Unpacking the four-slice toaster before its first breakfast test.
Article published November 4, 2026.
A Mueller delivery arrives while I am already unboxing something else, so the UltraToast becomes the next thing on the table. This one is a short first look at the toaster and its controls.
The wide slots stand out
I remove the packaging and look over the stainless-steel finish. The openings across the top are wide, which is what makes the shape interesting before I have put any bread into it.
The package identifies it as a four-slice toaster. I speculate about what might fit while looking at it, but I do not test a larger slice count or other foods in the recording.
A quick tour of the front
I point out the heat-level controls, defrost setting and eject control, and show the mechanism popping back up. The display, crumb tray and cord-storage features are also part of the product description I discuss.
This session ends before a toasting cycle. It does not establish how evenly it browns bread, how well defrost works or whether settings survive unplugging.
The next test belongs in the kitchen
The first impression is about the size, finish and layout. A breakfast test would answer the more useful performance questions, and that is not something I can add to this unboxing after the fact.
