CORNMI NeoVista X7 Lite: A Screen That Stays in Front of Me

Connecting the headset to my Steam Deck and trying the fit and image.

Article published November 4, 2026.

After I connect the CORNMI NeoVista X7 Lite to my Steam Deck, the most useful discovery is what kind of screen it gives me. I move my head, and the image stays directly in front of my eyes instead of sitting at a fixed point in the room.

The headset and its carrying case

I open the textured box and find the headset packed in its case. The accessories include a cleaning cloth, USB-C lead, earbud pieces and a head strap.

I look through the controls described in the guide, then remove the protective film and work out how the fit adjusts. The headset is smaller in person than I expected from the pictures.

The Steam Deck detects it

I plug in the Steam Deck and get an image and audio. After some adjustment, I describe the view as feeling like a large movie screen close to me.

It blocks my view of the surrounding room in this setup. My early augmented-reality description gives way to the more straightforward experience: I am looking at a personal display that moves with me.

A first look at that viewing experience

I discuss travel and situations where the TV is occupied, because those are the uses the experience brings to mind. This session does not establish comfort for every user, motion-sickness behavior or the measured virtual-screen size in the old title.

CORNMI supplied the headset, and Geeksoutfit supplied apparel for the original video. The product links and MIKE150USD offer are preserved below; the original pre-order comments and discount are not a current availability or eligibility promise.
