LIFEGOO Glue Gun: The Magnetic Stand Is What Caught My Attention
A small craft-tool unboxing, with a detour into one of my old cosplay projects.
Article published November 4, 2026.
Why is a glue gun on a tech channel? Because sometimes the thing holding a geeky project together is literally hot glue.
I bring out part of an old costume to explain. It has an opening for a phone, knobs and LEDs—the sort of wrist-mounted prop that makes a lot more sense once you see what it is supposed to do. Hot glue helped with that earlier project, which is why I am interested in a nicer tool for the next one.
A stand I can put it straight onto
The LIFEGOO unit I open is hot pink. I look over the trigger, the instruction booklet and the stand, then show how the gun sits upright magnetically.
That stand is the feature I keep coming back to. I want a convenient place to put the tool down between steps, rather than balancing it awkwardly beside the rest of a project.
There is an on/off switch, too
I point out the switch on the body and compare that arrangement with simpler tools that start heating when plugged in. This recording is a hardware first look, though: I do not heat this gun up, dispense glue or build the next prop with it.
The stand also does not establish that surrounding surfaces are safe from heat. I would still follow the supplied instructions and use an appropriate work area.
Next stop: another craft project
LIFEGOO sent this over, and the practical appeal for me is the combination of the stand and the switch. Actual gluing will have to be another session. The original product link is below; MTT25 is the separate Geeksoutfit clothing offer, not a glue-gun discount.
