100,000 Subscribers, a Cake and an Australian Snack Care Package

Celebrating the channel milestone with my wife, a gift from friends and a few very unexpected snack comparisons.

Article published November 3, 2026.

We hit 100,000 subscribers. I had the plaque, my wife surprised me with a cake, and there were almost too many zeros to fit in front of it. That is a pretty good problem to have.

Instead of doing another hardware unboxing to celebrate, we opened a care package from friends in Australia and tried the snacks inside. It turned into a lot of laughing, a few unexpected flavors and a chance to say thank you.

A milestone built by the community

In the video, I talked about how recently it felt like we had been celebrating 50K. Watching, commenting, sharing videos and supporting the channel in communities like Reddit all helped us get here.

I had been making videos for years by this point. Getting to hold that plaque and celebrate with my wife and everyone watching made the number feel real.

A care package with more than snacks

Our friends Matt and Abby and their family sent the Australian package after we had sent them treats from the US and Mexico. Before getting to the food, we found koala and kangaroo ornaments for the studio.

There was also a card and plenty of joking about drop bears. The package felt personal, which made it a much nicer way to mark the occasion than just pointing at the subscriber count.

Shapes, Cherry Ripe and a few surprises

We tried the barbecue, pizza and mini Chicken Crimpy Shapes. The barbecue flavor did not taste like the barbecue snacks I expected from home; my first comparison was closer to pizza. Then the pizza version had us comparing it with marinara and a Hot Pocket.

The Chicken Crimpy went over well. Cherry Ripe surprised me with coconut, which I liked more than my wife did. That was part of the fun: the same bite could get two very different reactions.

Tiny Teddies had us thinking about the little cookies we knew from home. We also tried Turkish Delight and a Cocoa Pops bar. The Turkish Delight's floral flavor was interesting, but I still found it fruity. The cereal bar had us reaching for comparisons with familiar chocolate cereals and crispy treats.

Then it was time for cake

We finished by cutting into the celebration cake, with strawberries and a rainbow swirl inside. It was a relaxed video, a lot of sweets and a pretty memorable way to celebrate with everyone.

Thank you to Matt, Abby and their family for the care package, to my wife for making the day special, and to all of you for helping the channel reach this milestone. The video above has the full taste test and reactions. On to the next milestone.
