Live capture · Oct 21, 2026 CinemaVerse at 1440 px: “Start with any two endpoints.”, the From and To search fields, Origin and Destination cards joined by “shortest path”, and the Find the connection button, noting it uses TMDB metadata only.

Overview

CinemaVerse was a "connection studio" for film and TV. You picked two endpoints (a movie, a scripted show, an actor or a director) and it searched for the shortest trail of real credits between them, then drew that trail as a visual path.

Connections came only from scripted acting, directing and creator credits. Talk shows, news, reality, documentaries and self or interview appearances were filtered out so the links stayed meaningful. A bidirectional shortest-path search worked from both ends at once, and TV shows could be explored down to season and episode names.

It used TMDB names, credits, metadata and image URLs only, with no clips, downloads or playback. Its final version was a plain PHP port, written in PHP, HTML, CSS and vanilla JavaScript with no build step, and CinemaVerse is now part of PyroSoft's legacy collection.
