Platforms: Web

Chiaki and other PlayStation Remote Play clients ask for your PSN Account ID when you register a console, and it isn't your online name. It's your numeric PSN user ID packed into eight little-endian bytes and written in base64. The PSN Account ID Finder works it out for you in two steps, in a web page, with nothing to install. You sign in on Sony's own login page, copy the address you land on and paste it back. The finder trades the single-use code inside it for a short-lived token, reads your ID once and shows the base64 Account ID and the numeric user ID, each with a Copy button. Your password stays with Sony, and the code, the token and your account details are held in memory for that one request, never written to disk or a log. It's free, with no sign-up. To keep it available, lookups are limited to ten an hour per network; for that, the finder keeps only a hash of your IP address and the times of your recent attempts, cleared after an hour. The finder is a PHP port of the psn-account-id.py script from Chiaki, the open-source Remote Play client by thestr4ng3r; PyroSoft is not affiliated with Sony.

Price: Free.

## Questions

### What is a PSN Account ID?

It's the ID Remote Play clients such as Chiaki ask for when you register a console. It isn't your online name: it's your numeric PSN user ID, written as eight little-endian bytes in base64.

### Does PyroSoft see my PlayStation password?

No. Sign in with PlayStation opens Sony's own login page in a new tab. The finder only receives the redirect address you paste back, which carries a single-use code.

### Does the finder store anything?

Only what its rate limit needs: a hash of your IP address and the times of your recent attempts, and entries older than an hour are cleared on the next lookup. The code you paste, the token and the account details Sony returns stay in memory for that single request and are never written to disk or a log. The finder sets no cookies.

### The page I land on after signing in is blank. Did it break?

No. That page is expected to look empty or say "redirect". Copy the whole address bar and paste it into step 2.

### Can I paste just the code?

Yes. The finder accepts the full redirect address or the code on its own.

### Can I look up someone else's Account ID?

No. There's no search by name; the finder reads the ID of whichever account signed in at Sony to create the code.

### Is this made by Sony?

No. PyroSoft is not affiliated with or endorsed by Sony Interactive Entertainment. The finder is a PHP port of Chiaki's psn-account-id.py script.
