The Rybozen package combined two wireless handheld microphones with a small mixer that had both audio connections and HDMI input and output. That made it interesting to open as a karaoke setup, rather than just another pair of wireless mics.

I toured the hardware and controls in this video. I did not route a karaoke video through it, record a song or test the advertised wireless range.

## Two microphones that are easy to tell apart

The handheld mics had different colored accents, blue and orange. I liked that simple way to distinguish them. Each had a display and space for two AA batteries.

I also found a sticker lifting slightly on one mic during the unboxing and pointed it out. It was still there; this was a small fit-and-finish observation, rather than a missing part.

## The mixer adds the connection choices

I unpacked the audio cables, adapters and USB power supply, then looked over the mixer. It had HDMI in and out, audio connections and inputs for wired microphones as well.

On the front, I worked through the music level, microphone levels, echo and tone controls. Those are useful controls to see before deciding how a box might fit into an existing speaker or TV arrangement.

The presence of HDMI ports does not establish compatibility with every source, display or protected video format. I had not tested that signal chain in this session.

## Compare the connections before the range claims

My [BASN two-mic kit unboxing](<https://pyrosoft.pro/blog/basn-dual-wireless-mics-unboxing-uhf-reverb-in-a-pocket-sized-kit-3c48f3df>) shows a different receiver layout, including its own battery. Here, the HDMI path and karaoke-oriented controls were the details I was concentrating on. I did not run an audio comparison between the kits.

The 100-foot line-of-sight figure was advertised, not a distance I walked with these mics. The price mentioned in the video was historical too.

For this first look, I could show the actual package, connector choices and controls. The next useful test would be connecting a real source and speakers and hearing the microphones through that setup.
