I went to the freezer and grabbed the fruit that needed using. Some of it had become one very solid frozen clump, which made the first smoothie with the LAMPICK blender more interesting than a neat demonstration with soft ingredients.

LAMPICK sent the blender for this video. I unpacked it, assembled the parts and then made smoothies for my wife and me.

## It takes up some counter space

This was not a tiny personal blender. I showed the large pitcher, base, lid and included drinking container while putting the unit together.

The product description lists a 68-ounce pitcher, a 2,000-watt rating and a high motor-speed figure. Those are advertised specifications; I did not measure electrical draw or rotational speed in this test.

## Frozen fruit, cherries and some ice

I loaded mixed fruit, strawberry puree, cherries and ice, then added some water to get things moving. The frozen ingredients were hard enough that I wondered how the blender would get through the bottom of the mixture.

It did start breaking through. The material at the top needed some help moving down, so I used the supplied tamper arrangement shown in the video.

This was the part worth watching: the first break through the frozen clump, the ingredients that stayed higher in the pitcher and what I did before the mixture became more uniform.

## It needed a little help

I was happy with the finished smoothie, but the test was not effortless from the first second. I said at the end that it had struggled a little with the very hard ice and needed some pushing before the ingredients reached the blades.

That is a more useful description of this particular batch than saying a blender can handle absolutely anything. I did not compare it side by side with another machine or test every recipe from the product listing.

## Finish with the included cup

Once the smoothie was blended, I used the supplied container and lid to take it with me. I liked having that included rather than needing to find another bottle immediately.
