Instead of replacing my microphone, this Phenyx Pro system is meant to change the connection. The PTU-X puts a wireless transmitter and receiver into an XLR setup, so I try it with the recording chain I already use. ## Two small devices and one charging cable The box has a carrying case, manual and the separately wrapped transmitter and receiver. Both already have power when I take them out. The charging cable splits from USB-A to two USB-C ends, letting me connect both units. That is a practical detail I had not expected when I first opened the package. ## Keep the rest of the setup familiar I switch the connection while keeping my existing microphone and Cloudlifter arrangement in the chain. The next portion of the recording is made through the Phenyx system. There is still a bundle of cables because I do not have a short adapter ready for the way I am demonstrating it.
