In December 2024, I had some big news for the channel: I was going to CES in Las Vegas for the first time. This short video is the announcement before that January 2025 trip.

## Get onto the show floor

I wanted to bring back interviews, demonstrations and a closer look at the gadgets being shown. AI, gaming gear and smart-home technology were all part of what I hoped to cover.

Those were the plans at the time of the announcement. The event coverage belongs to the individual videos that followed, rather than being a result I show in this one-minute update.

## A thank-you to AIPER

AIPER sponsored the trip, and I thank them for making it possible. I also planned to spend time looking at their pool-cleaning and home technology while I was there.

For me, this was the exciting step before the travel: getting ready to take the channel onto the floor and ask people about what they were building. The original announcement is embedded above.
