A floating PiP can be useful and still get in the way of the thing underneath it. Click-through adds a simple choice: keep the picture visible while letting mouse clicks reach the desktop window below. It doesn't send those clicks back to the captured source.

The recovery path matters just as much as enabling it. InfinitePIP hides the PiP controls while click-through is active, then lets you choose Restore clicks or Show from the main app. New PiPs start with normal mouse interaction, so you don't have to remember how a previous window was configured.

The September Linux record includes real screen, external-window and region capture from the ARM64 Debian package in an isolated X11 environment. Nonblank pixel readback supported those checks. Native x64 runtime, physical desktop behavior and real Wayland portal flows remained open, and the click-through state checks didn't prove operating-system mouse delivery on every platform.

On September 9, the upload record confirmed ten fresh candidates on itch: universal macOS DMG and ZIP, Windows x64 and ARM64 installers and portable apps, and Linux x64 and ARM64 AppImage and Debian packages. The Mac artifacts passed notarization, signature and Gatekeeper checks. Windows downloads were labeled unsigned and Linux downloads preview.

That gives us a useful delivery milestone without flattening the differences between platforms. The files were uploaded and checked, while native click delivery, compositor behavior and broader runtime coverage still needed their own tests.

For someone using InfinitePIP, the goal remains a small one: keep the view you need, get it out of your way when appropriate, and have an obvious way to bring its controls back.
