The BASN kit looked like a fairly complete little event setup: two handheld wireless microphones, a receiver with individual controls, and a collection of cables and accessories. Then I found the battery for the receiver itself, which made the package more interesting.

This video is the unboxing and power-up. I did not do a sound-quality, interference or long-distance wireless test here.

## Two microphones and a receiver with useful feedback

Each microphone had its own display, and the receiver had a screen and a large control knob. I fitted the included antennas and looked through the information available on that small front display.

The colored rings for the microphones were a detail I liked. They help tell the two apart and keep a handheld mic from rolling so easily on a table.

I also looked at the receiver's ports, including USB-C power, headphone monitoring and XLR audio output. The connectors on your mixer or PA still need to match the setup you intend to use.

## The receiver does not have to start at a wall socket

Among the accessories was a larger battery for the receiver. With that installed, I could power the receiver up without keeping it connected to an external supply.

That was the feature that most changed how I pictured using it: a small box I could place near an existing audio system, rather than immediately having to find a wall outlet for it. I did not measure how long it would run on that battery.

The package also had charging cables, adapters and the batteries for the handheld microphones. I worked through those on camera rather than just assuming the kit included everything.

## The range figures still need a real test

I read more than one distance figure while looking through the materials, including an open-area claim of about 120 metres. Those were advertised figures, not distances I walked with a microphone in this video.

Likewise, seeing channel controls is different from testing interference in a crowded venue. What I could show was the physical kit, the connection options and the receiver running from its own battery.

I liked the first impression and wanted to hear how it performed next. Watch the video for the close-up of the controls, and use the original product link below to check the exact kit and regional model.
